Bernie P. Keating
Valuing community, friendship, and the natural beauty of Muskoka, Bernie is happy to return to his roots to practice law in Parry Sound, Bracebridge, Huntsville and Gravenhurst after 22 years in Southern Ontario.
Residential real estate transactions (including mortgage and land development), wills, powers of attorney and estate administration are the focus of Bernie’s practice in Parry Sound. Bernie has also developed an expertise in forming and managing professional corporations for physicians, lawyers and accountants and has provided skilled legal representation in real estate, wills and civil litigation.
He has appeared before the Ontario Municipal Board, the Ontario Parole Board, the Ontario Court of Justice, the Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court of Canada.

Receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Francis Xavier University, Bernie majored in Theology and Economics. After graduating, Bernie spent 6 years studying to be a priest with the Society of Jesus (Jesuits). At this time, he also obtained a Master’s Degree in Philosophy from Loyola University of Chicago and a Master’s Degree in Economics from the University of Notre Dame in Indiana
In 1993, Bernie received his LL.B. degree from Queens University in 1993 and was called to the bar in 1995. Since then, he has practice law and has been an active member in his community, volunteering with Out of the Cold, Rotary, political organizations and coaching basketball. Bernie is also an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing and canoeing, in addition to sports and cooking.
